FUNKY.sg, originally known as Funky Chargers, was founded by Funky Creations in 2012. The journey began with a common problem faced by one of our founders: mobile gaming was draining phone batteries faster than ever, yet powerbanks were expensive, and being tethered to a socket was impractical. Spotting this gap, we set out to provide affordable charging solutions for everyone.
Starting as a home-based business, we ran evening collection points at void decks. As demand grew, we expanded to a small shophouse in Paya Lebar, which enabled us to buy in larger quantities and pass on cost savings to our customers.
